Descrição: Trata-se de uma estrutura a construir em zona acidentada, rodeada por diversas construções, algumas delas bastante antigas, obrigando à realização de escavações atingindo cerca de 25m de altura. A solução adoptada para a contenção da escavação para implantação do edifício consistiu numa cortina de estacas de betão armado apoiadas em vários níveis de vigas ancoradas para o interior do maciço. Em 2011, uma vez praticamente concluída a execução dessa cortina, as obras foram interrompidas, apenas sendo retomadas em meados de 2013.

Estudo da CONSULGEO: Tendo em conta o prolongado período de interrupção da obra, procedeu-se à análise do comportamento da cortina de contenção e à elaboração de recomendações para a retoma dos trabalhos de construção.

Description: This is a structure to be built in a hillside area, surrounded by several buildings, some of them quite old, leading to excavations around 25m high. The solution adopted to support the excavation consisted of a wall of reinforced concrete piles, supported at various levels with beams anchored into the massif. In 2011, when the execution of the wall was almost completed, the works were stopped, and they only resumed in mid-2013.

CONSULGEO study: In view of the large period of time during which the works were stopped, the study included the analysis of the behaviour of the wall and making recommendations for the resumption of construction work.
